Marrakech – enchanting beauty all around
Day 4 ~ Fashion & Food and Soul Day
• Majorelle Gardens • Yves Saint Laurent Museum, cafés, restaurants, boutiques • New Gueliz district
We wake up to the sound of the muezzin calling the faithful to prayer. His singing carries through the morning air like a silent prayer for the city – calm, rhythmic, sacred. Marrakesh is waking up, and so are our senses.
We are going to visit the iconic Jardin Majorelle gardens in the Gueliz district – one of the most beautiful and famous botanical gardens in the world. After Jemaa El Fna Square, it is the second most visited attraction in Marrakesh, yet a place where crowds melt away in silence, colors, and scents.
This garden is not just a botanical oasis – it is a ritual of return to the senses and beauty. The moment you step through its gates, you enter a world where every shape, color, and scent acts as a gentle healing. The cobalt blue, which transcends visual perception, also touches the emotional body – calming the nervous system and opening up the space of perception.
The rustling of bamboo leaves, the red monolithic surface underfoot, the scent of jasmine and citrus – all this awakens those parts of us that are often suppressed in everyday life. It is a walk through harmony, where nature and man are not in opposition, but together shape a world that heals with its simplicity and silence.
Every detail is an invitation to the present.
The complex also includes the Berber Museum, dedicated to the indigenous people of North Africa. The exhibition includes traditional Berber clothing, jewelry, ceramics, musical instruments, and work tools, which together reveal layers of fascinating culture and historical heritage that are still present in everyday life in Morocco.
The YSL Museum – a temple of creativity and courage
After this sensory sanctuary, we enter a space that tells the story of the creator's soul. The Yves Saint Laurent Museum is not just about fashion – it is a story about the courage to be yourself, to follow your own vision, even if it is unconventional.
Colors, fabrics, silhouettes – and above all, the energy of creative genius – all serve as inspiration for the soul that longs to create, express itself, or simply rediscover its beauty and uniqueness.
The YSL Museum is one of the most interesting and luxurious spaces dedicated to fashion and art. The combination of the fascinating world of haute couture and the strong Moroccan influence has created a cultural space that breathes. In the permanent exhibitions, we learn not only about the life and work of the legendary designer, but also about his deep relationship with Morocco, which inspired him for many years.
The GUELIZ district - a place where time slows down and the soul breathes
The combination of gardens, museums, small cafes, and boutique shops creates the ideal place to slow down, relax, and recharge your batteries in the middle of bustling Marrakech.
This corner of the world offers not only beauty for the eye, but also tranquility for the soul. We have lunch here, in a restaurant that offers a unique culinary experience. Modern approaches meet rich Moroccan tradition – the result is dishes that celebrate local flavors, but also surprise with their creative presentation and combinations. Each bite is a combination of history and the present, the Orient and innovation.
Today, Marrakesh teaches us to slow down, look, and perceive. Not as tourists, but as people who have found a temple of beauty, silence, and inspiration for a moment – in color, scent, and the courage to be ourselves.
On the way back to the hotel, we stop at the magical ANIMA GARDEN. A garden that is like a living work of art in the middle of nature. Created by artist André Heller, it combines more than 250 species of exotic plants with monumental sculptures hidden among the trees. A walk through this space is an experience for all the senses – visual, auditory, and spiritual. Birdsong, the whisper of fountains, and views of the High Atlas create an atmosphere of deep tranquility. It is a place where art touches nature and nature touches our souls.
